WhiteMark goes to Market!

WhiteMark goes to Market!

A few weeks have gone by since my very first time taking WhiteMark Ceramics to market. And I am happy to say, it was a success!

After weeks and weeks of prep, four glaze kilns, a couple of test set ups in our driveway, and a few broken pieces - the actual day went off without a hitch. I was so grateful to have my mom in town to watch the kiddos so I could have Luke with me for emotional and physical support - that tent is a two person job.

While polishing up our final set up details, I made my first sale 15 minutes after the market officially opened! I was over the moon and took a big deep breath of relief. I find it immensely scary putting my handmade products out into the world, so making that first sale right away really set me flying for the rest of the day. We had a steady stream of visitors - some browsing and some buying - throughout the day. As we started wrapping up at the close of the market, we had a few more customers wander in for a chat and made one final sale - worth the few extra minutes before breaking down.

I got a lot of positive feedback and enjoyed my time visiting with customers and petting lots of dogs. I also had several friends stop by to say hi, lend encouragement and purchase some new pieces for themselves. All-in-all, the first market was an excellent experience where I learned a ton and sold about 25 pieces! All this to say...

We are going back to the EatLoco Farmer's Market at One Loudoun!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 13th at 9am - 1pm! Stop by for some last minute Mother's Day gifts or maybe a little something for yourself!

Hope to see you there!

Adrienne
